He had been working in an unlicensed carpet factory in Bhaktapur for two years before a GoodWeave Foundation inspector found him.  The conditions he was subjected to were very poor; he worked from 3am to 8pm, with only 1 hour for lunch and was beaten by his contractor. Because of the time spent on the Loom his fingers did not develop properly and he hasn't had an education. He is happy now to be living in the GoodWeave centre but wants to go back to his village to live with his parents, who are farmers, and to continue his education. Kathmandu, Nepal.

They are children of carpet factory workers, and have been supported into education by GoodWeave, a charity that works towards getting children out of factories and into education.  Previously these children would have been left unattended in the factory while their parents worked as their low salary could not cover childcare costs. GoodWeave were recipients of the Stars Foundation's Impact Award.
