Trees are used for food, animal fodder and shade from the sun. Climate change in the Northern Kenya region is having a huge impact on these traditionally nomadic pastoralist's, with droughts happening more frequently and for longer durations. With the help of various charities and the Kenyan government they are finding ways to maintain food security.
