Local campaigners came together on the 1st of April 2023 at Sunny Sands beach to unveil a blue plaque for Damian Collins MP for his service to sewage and the water bosses, part of a campaign to demand action on sewage pollution on the beaches in Folkestone, United Kingdom. Southern water have been regularly dumping raw sewage into the sea where people swim, locals attended a demo organised by the Folkestone & Hythe Labour Party to demand ‘No more swimming in sewage’.
