Little Amal took her first steps in the United Kingdom today when she arrived to a warm welcome from locals on the 19th of October 2021 at the Harbour Station in Folkestone, United Kingdom. Little Amal is a 3.5 metre-tall living artwork of a young Syrian refugee child who has spent the last 3 months walking 8000 km from the boarder of Syria across Turkey, Greece, Italy, France, Switzerland, Germany, Belgium and the UK to focus attention on the urgent needs of young refugees.
