Dungeness RNLI (Royal National Lifeboat Institution) is met by launch staff and police as it arrives into shore at Dungeness after collecting 43 people including women and 10 children from a dinghy just off South East Coast of Kent on the 15th of March 2022 in Dungeness, United Kingdom. There were a large number of children on the boat, they had travelled for 5 hours from France, most were Iraqi Kurds fleeing persecution. They were greeted by armed officers from the Civil Nuclear Constabulary who supplied blankets and water while they waited for Border Force to arrive to be taken away for processing.
