Pollution campaigner Fergal Sharkey held up a blue plaque for Damian Collins MP for his service to sewage and the water bosses as he joined Tony Vaughan, the Labour candidate for Folkestone and Hythe on Sunny Sands beach in Folkestone to demand action on sewage pollution from water companies dumping sewage into UK waterways and coasts in Folkestone, United Kingdom on the 15th of June 2024. Locally Southern Water have been dumping raw sewage into the sea where people swim, fish, and children play, locals attended a demo organised by the Folkestone & Hythe Labour Party to demand ‘No more swimming in sewage’.
