After a fisherman’s catch is weighed it is sorted into fish type and size and then boxed up accordingly. Folkestone Trawlers, process manage and market all fresh fish that is landed into Folkestone Harbour by local Fishermen. Folkestone, Kent. United Kingdom. A seaside town founded on its fishing industry which dates back to pre-Roman times. During its heyday there were over 100 boats operating out of the busy harbour and employing over 1000 people in the town. In 2016 there are 7 working boats left, employing just over 20 people.
